The evil eye is a curse believed to be cast by a malevolent glare, usually given to a person when they are unaware. In early 13th centuries, they started crafting figures to protect themselves from that evil. According to the belief, receiving the evil eye will cause misfortune or injury and evil eye beads or figures used for protection. The Anatolian rug figure on the necklace is one of the figures which is believed to protect from that bad energy or evil.
